Shannon Auster-Weiss
Shannon is currently pursuing her MSc in Medical Anthropology at Oxford University. In learning more about how we think about health, bodies, and sexuality, she hopes to help women & other communities reach their potential by focusing on equitable health care.
Before starting graduate school, she built and scaled Nanny Lane, a product dedicated to making quality childcare accessible. She joined as a marketer in pre-revenue stages and took on roles in Product, Design, Operations, Data Analysis, Strategy, and Leadership until becoming the General Manager.
Immersed in the Canadian tech ecosystem, she was motivated to strengthen it. She graduated from the Associate Product Managers Toronto, Canada’s leading Product Management training program. She is also an alumnus of Venture for Canada, a highly competitive program focused on fostering the entrepreneurial skills of young Canadians.
Shannon graduated with First Class Honours in Social Anthropology with a minor in Philosophy and a certificate in Intercultural Communication from Dalhousie University.
She enjoys running and has spent the last few years as a digital nomad exploring countries like the Azores, Morocco, Namibia, and South Africa.
